Dr. Brayden Oakes is a dual-degree oral and maxillofacial Surgeon. He brings a strong clinical background and a warm, approachable style to every patient interaction.
Born and raised in Boise, Idaho, Dr. Oakes attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah for his undergraduate studies. He later earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the Medical University of South Carolina and his medical degree (MD) from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his General Surgery internship—which included rotations in trauma surgery, ICU, plastic surgery, and ENT—at University Hospitals in Cleveland, followed by his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Case Western Reserve.
Dr. Oakes is trained in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with clinical interests including dentoalveolar surgery, outpatient anesthesia, TMJ surgery, orthognathic surgery, facial trauma, and head and neck pathology and reconstruction. He is fluent in Spanish, having served a two-year church mission in Argentina.
He is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), and the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ACOMS).
Outside of the operating room, Dr. Oakes enjoys staying active and outdoors. His favorite pastimes include basketball, mountain biking, hiking, camping, water skiing, and golf. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Madison, and their four children—three daughters and a son.
